ColorSafe™ is a filter plug-in for Adobe Photoshop and compatible applications that provides fully interactive color pickers for the easy creation of almost limitless 'hybrid' colors from the 216 colors in the Web safe palette. A hybrid color is formed by combining four pixels of two different colors from the Web safe palette together in an exact ordered pattern to create a third visually distinct color.

  15. With ColorSafe™ any color is Web safe, and any one who creates images for the Web, needs to use ColorSafe™.

  17. To use ColorSafe™ 1.6.1 you need:

  19. 1: A 68k '040 or PowerPC-based Macintosh
  20. 2: System 7.0 or better with the system ColorPicker extension installed
  21. 3: Adobe Photoshop 2.5 or better (or compatible filter host application)
  22. 4: Recommended available memory for host application

  26. The ColorSafe™ demo is fully functional. There are no limitations on features or how it may be used for evaluation purposes, but ColorSafe™ is not free. If you continue to use it, please purchase it. Then the annoying reminder dialog will go away.

  28. To install ColorSafe™, simply drag the plug-in into your Photoshop plug-ins folder, which is located inside the Photoshop application folder. ColorSafe™ will be available the next time Photoshop is launched under Filters -> BoxTop Web Tools -> ColorSafe...
